What is the maximum amount of characters that i can pass from JCL to COBOL using SYSIN DD *?

Hi Vbhat,
There is no limit to the amount of data which you pass through insteam data to a pgm but if you are passing data from PARM parameter then you can pass a max of 200 char through it.

Regarding this passing character through PARM .I found from the book that we can pass 100 only.But according to Shinjini's statement its 200 so let me know which one should consider. |

I agree with you that the limit for passing characters from PARM is 100 and not 200.
