Good day,
Can anybody help me give some advantage and disadvantage of using Dataset type : LIBRARY, HFS, PDS, LARGE, BASIC
Average record unit (M, K, or U)
Primary quantity . . 50 (In above units)
Secondary quantity 100 (In above units)
Directory blocks . . 0 (Zero for sequential data set) *
Record format . . . . U
Record length . . . . 0
Block size . . . . . 32760
Data set name type LIBRARY (LIBRARY, HFS, PDS, LARGE, BASIC, * |

Hi,
Maybe somebody can give me some differences between Dataset names Type :LIBRARY and PDS.
In my idea both have the same function but what im not sure is the limitations of each type, that is why i want to know the advantage and disadvantage of LIBRARY and PDS.
In the fine manual, all i can find is about PDS, but i can find the anything about LIBRARY/

Sorry, Yes i got the answer from the fine manual that you sent.
Dataset name type LIBRARY is refered to as PDSE.
