I've tried the options provided for finding the MVSHOST name(ie.HELO 'MVSHOST') but could not get anywhere. I'm not finding it in JESMSGLG either.
Thanks

You can find the hostname and domain name within your TCPPARMS.
Locate JCL used to start RESOLVER address space.
Then, locate DD name SETUP within this JCL.
SETUP points to your TCPPARMS via parameter DEFAULTTCPIPDATA.
TCPPARMS has HOSTNAME and DOMAINORIGIN parameters.
Example:
HOSTNAME=Z0S1
DOMAINORIGIN=EXAMPLE.COM
Then, your MVS host name is ZOS1.EXAMPLE.COM

Question : do you just want to know the node or do you want to include that search into a process and which kind of process ( rexx, cobol, .. )
In other terms, for which purpose? |
