Hello
Can we generate step names in JCl automatically.
I have some JCL which i think have used that command.
The step names are generated in sequential manner like JS0010,JS0020 and so on.
Does any one knows which command is that.
Thanks. |

Hello kamal_dham and welcome to the forums,
Anything that generates jcl can also generate stepnames for the steps in that jcl.
If you are creating jcl by hand, you also need to create a step name for each step.
I know of nothing that will generate "step names" out of the blue.
If i have misunderstood what you are asking, please clarify. |

Probably a tool like JCLPREP that would format JCL/PROC's in accordance with the site standards. Or, something produced in-house that does the same thing. |
