There is an option to turn off tab to the menus. It stops HOME from jumping to them as well. |

Select 0 (zero) on your "ISPF Primary Option Menu" Sreen. You'll get something like sthe screen shot below (those are the options I selected):
Code: |
Log/List Function keys Colors Environ Workstation Identifier Help
ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
SDSF1 ISPF Settings
Command ===>
Options Print Graphics
Enter "/" to select option Family printer type 2
Command line at bottom Device name . . . .
/ Panel display CUA mode Aspect ratio . . . 0
/ Long message in pop-up
Tab to action bar choices
/ Tab to point-and-shoot fields General
/ Restore TEST/TRACE options Input field pad . . B
Session Manager mode Command delimiter . ;
/ Jump from leader dots
Edit PRINTDS Command
/ Always show split line
Enable EURO sign
Member list options
Enter "/" to select option
/ Scroll member list
Allow empty member list
Allow empty member list (nomatch)
/ Empty member list for edit only
Terminal Characteristics
Screen format 2 1. Data 2. Std 3. Max 4. Part
Terminal Type 3 1. 3277 2. 3277A 3. 3278 4. 3278A
5. 3290A 6. 3278T 7. 3278CF 8. 3277KN |
Note the following 2 lines in the screen shot. You probably selected "Tab to action bar choices". Try the other one.
_ Tab to action bar choices
/ Tab to point-and-shoot fields
As expat suggested, I set my PF12 to CURSOR but use HOME for getting to the top screen when I'm in split screen. |

What does CURSOR do?
I set F12=RETRIEVE (fairly conventional), and F24 to RETP. |

It moves the cursor to the cmd line of the screen you're in. Home moves it to the cmd line of the top screen, if you're in split screen mode.
That is, if you select the right tab setting.
I don't use RETRIEVE any more. I use PF24 for RETP. |
