Hi

I have created 2 files thru ispf, one with rec ln 80 and other with 20 both are of FB. When in edited/posted data into empty file of recln 20, datas is getting converted to some junk values where as the edited data is fine with file of recln 80. Please could any one tell me why its happening.

Thanks

Could you explain your problem with a little more detail and an example of what you are seeing, and of course your code might help too.

I have no code as am creating both the PS using ISPF pannel 3.2 option.

1. PS1 with Rec len 80
2. PS2 with Rec length 20

I opened PS1 to edit and added line with data "abcdefghijklm" similary i editd data in Ps2 also. Now the problem is : as soon as i hit contol key data in PS2 is displayed as "abcd000901" where as the data is "abcdefghijklm" same in PS1.

I jsut whnt to know why its happening when we hit control key .. for PS2

Thanks

On the command line type PROF and hit enter key.

You can see the profile like CAPS ON/OFF, PACK OFF/ON, HEX ON/OFF etc.

Say to change the profile to HEX ON, type HEX ON on the command line and press enter.
