Hi,

I have a program which is using a copybook.

Both the elements had been added to endevor. Now i made some changes to the copybook. Should I add the program again to endevor?

Thanks,
Arun

Hi Arun,

You have mentioned that you added the program also in endevor. If you have made changes in the copybook, compile the program. That will do.

Regards,
Anand R.

Arun, use Endevor's Generate (batch action) or generate via Quick Edit; based on the install at the shop you work ... good luck.

Arun,

Whenever you make any changes to the includes/copybooks, it is enough to compile your program.

You need not add the element again to endeavor.

I prefer to generate the element rather than going for Quick-edit option.
Which i feel a bit dangerous , since it wont leave any trace to the modifications u have made.

Better you can try Generate Option.

yes.. i guess you can....
go to endevor - display(1) - footprint(2)
submit the member name or the dataset name which you have given and it shows the member along with the copybook expansion which you expected.

Try it pls icon_smile.gif

Is this the once you are reffering for ???

Arun,
You can use either ENdevor or Quick Edit.
Using QE means your are doing every thing in Endevor and Endevor will take care every thing. If you try to compile a program at bottom or unit stage Endevor will make your program came down to that stage and compeile, then you can move to next stage.

If you are using Endevor since you can't do it in production, so you have bring back and generate it and move to back to final/production stage
