Why are you insisting on saving in view mode? This is the 2nd topic you have posted on it. Aaru just pointed you back to your other post. The general advice has been DON'T DO THIS! Use the command REPLACE and you can overwrite the file you are working on just fine. Use CREATE to make it a new file.
What is the issue here, are you lazy and just want to press F3 or type SAVE instead of the longer word REPLACE?
but I can't give it here (enrico would be very angry at me).
Now You make me curious
I know it can be done...
I wrote a macro to issue something like ( replace myself .zf .zl )
but later on I found more practical
to use always "EDIT" with a default initial macro to turn
AUTOSAVE OFF and RECOVERY ON ( to prevent finger checks )
the only reason to use VIEW from 3.4 is just ... laziness
( it will be automatically transformed in BROWSE for unsupported datasets)
