I need to send message to Mobile Phone when the job completes. How do I do that?

Hi..........
This is an Network issue. Mainframe belongs to other network i guess.
You must have to check with your Network admin raising the request about this in your floor. |

What kind of message? Will a message sent to an email suffice? If so there are many topics in these forums that tell you how to send an email from a job. This question has been asked often enough. Did you search before posting?

Hi,
Suppose a job has to start by 10:00pm but it was delayed due to some reason. under this condition I wish as SMS alert to be sent on my mobile.
Hope this makes sense. |

Thanks a lot!
but i don't want an email to be sent because many cell phone doesn't support email. so i want an SMS a regular SMS to be sent on the mobile.
to be precise i don't want to send an email , i want to send SMS

Does your mobile accept SMS via an email? Many carriers in the US let you send to mobile#@mobilecompany.com and it comes through as an SMS. I don't know of any software on the mainframe that can interface to the SMS network of a cell carrier.
Your initial post said completion of a job, but your follow up you say you want a message if the job doesn't start. That is a little harder to accomplish even via email. |
