The standard method on changing Online-ZPARMs:
Step1: Execute the 6th phase job DSNTEJ6Z to print the current system parameters
 cmd: TSO ZPARMS <SSID>
To return the current system parameters (Optional)
Step2: Customize the DSNTIJUZ job to perform the needed changes in ZPARM parameters.
Step3: Execute the DB2 command
Cmd: SET SYSPARM LOAD (DSNZPARM)
To set the subsystem parameters while DB2 is up
Step4: Execute the MVS command
Cmd: F LLA REFRESH to refresh the lookaside library
Step5: Execute the 6th phase job DSNTEJ6Z again to check whether the changes made to the ZPARM is get updated.
These updation made to the ZPARM is not fixed, it changes to the previous values after a DB2 checkpoint |
