How to dynamically create query

I have a query which can have a variable number of variables in the select condition ranging from 5-55. the exact number will be known only after executing the rexx whereby i can get the variables by reading a file.

im stuck now at writing the query. I tried reading up on stored procedures also but they seem to be a little confusing.

any help in this regard is appreciated.
