And is the source library for EPDF concatenated into your ISPF session libraries ? |

TSO ISRDDN will list all of your currently concatenated libraries for your session.
To concatenate a REXX library, take a look at the ALTLIB command. For other libraries the LIBDEF command should suffice. |

Is EPDF is shop specific ?
If not how to invoke the command ?
|
NOOOO!! it is not shop specific, it is part of the standard/vanilla/unmodified
ISPF setup, it does not need any other libraries then those provided in a "WORKING"
ISPF setup, which means that if You are able to work... EPDF should be there
( At least since os/390 2.9 , that' s the oldest release I can check !!)
entering "EPDF" on the primary option panel without any parameters
should give something like ....
Code: |
Tutorial --------------------- Help for ISREPDF --------------------- Tutorial
More: +
The EPDF primary command runs the ISREPDF command to edit, browse or view data
sets from any ISPF command line. ISREPDF can also be used from the TSO READY
prompt.
Syntax: EPDF dataset-name < options >
Option Description
Browse Invoke Browse instead of Edit.
View Use View mode (End/Save/Cancel disabled).
|
Anyway the ISREPDF REXX referred to by the help panel is contained..
( check anyway Your naming convention) in something like :
ISP.SISPEXEC
which should be concatenated in Your TSO logon proc to the ddname "SYSPROC"
.... to find out enter:
TSO ISRDDN
and then....
M ISREPDF |

Enrico,
Thanks for your explanation.
I could able to see ISREPDF in one of my concatenation list, but still i couldnt able to access this utility.
The utility is found in SYS1.SISPEXEC and it was concatenated to SYSEXEC.
Let me know how to execute this utility.
When i tried to enter EPDF in the primary option panel. It says invalid option. I am not gettnig the screen as you got.
I tried the same in command option toooo.
Nothing works... |

To have things picked up from SYSEXEC there are a few settings to be done..
but in this moment I do not remember which :-)
( and I keep forgetting about )
thats why I concatenate to sysproc also the REXX script libraries |

Techies,
I have added the routine(EPDF) to the SYSPROC library and invoked by tso epdf command.
It was working successfully.
But i am not sure, why we need to concatenate it to SYSPROC ?
If you can figure out the reason, shoot me back a mail. |
