Hi,

Usually the PDS bears the ID of the creator or the ID of the person who modified it recently. But is it possible to change these ID values without leaving trace of ones own ID? And if yes please let me know how it is so?

Thanks & Regards,
Amol Londhe

Yes its possible! In the command area against the member name or PS name, by giving ?G?. Dialog box will pop up allowing you to change the ID values.

Hope so you got it.

Mr Amol Londhe

ARE YOU A CRACKER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT ???

usually when somebody asks on how to to something without leaving any trace
of his/her actions, that person tries to do something ETHICALLY WRONG
and I tend to put in the same basket also those people who help him/her
to do it

I think you can't change the creator ID to who modified recently.

What is the need for changing?

Mainly it is used for tracing the person who has created or modified.

You please ask this to System Admin Team if it is real issue.

Correct me if I am wrong.

But don't forget to ask your friendly systems programmers to stop any SMF recording whilst you do whatever you want to do.

And while you are having this conversation, also ask that all of the current backups of the file be destroyed and the already archived SMF info be deleted as well. . .

Better still, see if you can borrow someone else's ID.

Will the system programmers delete all these right away..or we need to put a request..(might be a stupid query, but I would like to know if system takes care about this itself or we need to make the system (or system programmers) aware about this.)

Usually, this will/cannot happen at all. The system programmers would most likely demand an explanation.

Earlier, a few of us were just being a bit silly - the historic info would not be modified.
