Hi
I created a dataset and i entered 6 entries(=record length) and closed after saving. When i opened the dataset the number field is replaced by the last 6digits of the entries. While i try to search the entries using F<entry name> it throwing an error NO LINES FOUND. Can you help what is the reason behind this problem.
i tried by throwing a NUM OFF command on the command line and searched the entry. Then its working fine. i tried once again by closing the datase, the problem resumed again. Can you tell me how can i overcome this problem permenantly.
Thank U for your help

You need to maintain your profile. Take a look at the fine manual.

i gone thru my profile, i havent found any unusual other than NUMS ON STD, i tried it by changing thru NUM OFF command. But the changes are working until i closed the dataset. Problem resumed once if i open it again...
If this is a problem of profile, Can you tell me how can i make the changes in my profile so that the changes remains permanently.

Uday,
Can you just go in edit mode and make the changes to your profile with the commands "stats on" and "unnum" and see whether everything works fine ??

Hi Syam,
The stats command is not working. Giving as an invalid command. While i am typing the "unnum" command all the data has been erased, leaves an empty dataset with 5 rows. |
