As internal to Mainframe every thing is BATCH processing. Can anybody explain how is CICS running or send me a JCL / Job which runs CICS transaction on CICS subsystem (Not compilation). |

CICS runs has a batch job. You can find this job details in your spool.
Just give S CICSXXXX-where XXXX is your cics region name.
Regards,
Haranadh. |

No, it isn't. . .
Where did this assumption originate? |

Please...please... avoid giving erroneous info's
the command You suggested creates a started task ... not a job
( by mvs terminology )
also the convention You used is installation dependent,
what makes You think that the O/P has the same system setup as Yours ?? |

Hi, fayaz here
" this is actually from JCL, because no job is going to run on mainframes without a JCL, and as per my knowledge every job will have a priority and because of that we feel it is online... " Regards, fayaz |

You wanted job for the CICS region or the transaction.
You can see some cics region jobs running in the spool (if you know the name and where its running). |

Hello Fayaz,
Someone has provided you with very much mis-information.
The reply you are most thankful for is completely site-specific. It is good to know that it helped you, but it is not the way CICS is run everywhere. |
