In our shop, we compile cobol pgms and cobol Db2 with separates Jobs. There Jobs need to changed modified when there is a change in Source PDS and CopyBook Libraries..

I am thinking to Accept few inputs from user and pass them to a Rexx program which submits the corresponding JCL to compile like,
Whether Db2 or Not (Y/N):
Source PDS: xxxxx.bbbbb.cccccc
CopyBook:AAA.BBBB.CCC
DDD.EEEE.FFFFF (3-4 PDS)
DB2 region to Bind.

It is very difficult to accept the above information from user thru GET function in Rexx. I heard we can write panels to accept data from users and pass them to Rexx program which submits the dynamic compilation JCL.

Can anybody through some light on this? How to start with this? I have little knowledge on Panels.

Please provide me any links/manuals for reference.

Thanks

The best place to start is the fine manual.
