Can we merge the files which are on the TAPE and DISK

Could u please tell me,Is it possible to merge the files which are on the TAPE and DISK?

The first PARADIGM of MVS is device independence,
and the ability to process datasets regardless of device

The only things to consider is "non conflicting DCB attributes"
a different blksize is not a show stopper
