My custumor wants to use his mainframe assembler routines in an unix or a windows environment. I don't know how to solve his problem, any got a suggestion?

The only thing I can think of that would be less transportable would be machine lanuage! Good Luck. |

What kind of routines are these? Are they some utility functions that are "called" from other code on the mainframe?
If the requirement is to migrate them to both Windows and UNIX, i'd suggest looking into MicroFocus COBOL - it runs well on both platforms and would allow most/all of the "new" code to be common code. |

And Dick indeed, Micofrocus Cobol has the possibility to define an attribute with Pic (1) ==> bit.
