Hello,
Iwant to change the frequency of an application from 'on demand 'to 'daily'.
i have no idea how to change the frequency of an application(how to schedule an application).
Can some one help me please.i want to know the complete process as i have no idea of scheduling the applications. |

| You need to speak with your Operations/Production Control/Scheduling people. They are USUALLY responsible for scheduling jobs. They will probably want to know what job(s) have to run before your job (prerequisites), if any, and jobs that must wait for your job to execute (dependencies/followons). They will want to know about possible resource contention, how often you want the job to run (you mentioned daily), start time, end time, restart instructions in case of abend. There are many other considerations. Most shops have either a homegrown scheduling software or use canned packages such as CA 11 or JOBTRAC. I know I've thrown a lot at you, but this should give you enough to get started in the right direction. |
