We are planing to comparing two PDS to find out which member is in one of the PDS but not in the other PDS. But there are 30,000 members, manual work is kill time and effort. Is there any access? |

What' wrong with using ISPF superc/superce.
Navigate thru the ISPF help panels or better thru the manuals
and You will find many option to customize the comparison at the right level
of detail.
Just another consideration..
I hope that when You wrote 30000 members You had a finger check.
whoever advised You on having such a big bumber of members in a single PDS certainly did not give a very smart advice..
backup and recovery were not certainly taken into proper account |

you can try this way in 3.4
type your pds then in cmd line
give m membername
it will give the result , it displays the member in right side of the PDS.
try it. |

Reddy,
Thanks for the suggestion. But the original requirement is not what you had suggested.
Please go thru the OP properly. |

This is used to find whether a member is present in a PDS. If this approach is followed for comparing then you will have to spend hours for comparing both the PDS |
