Is it possible to reduce the size of the PS dataset and copy the same to another dataset.
Could you please help out in this? |

Use 3.3 copy and while copying give the new attributes by selecting the allocation option 2. |

Depends on what You mean by your question
reduce the size Of the data ... looks like an odd request
reduce the size of the allocated space yes.
when You allocate thru jcl specify the RLSE parameter,
at close time only the used space will be left allocated
after...
from ISPF option 3.4 issue the F for free command and it will release
the allocated but unused space..
BEWARE
NOT TO BE DONE UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY THE STORAGE MANAGEMENT GROUP |
