Hi Nagireddy,
Notify parameter is not mandatory. If you donot specify the notify parameter u dont receive any msg about status of the job after execution.U have to check the spool for finding the status.
The system won't take any default value for notify parameter.
I think the above info. will help u.And if any thing wrong in my info. Please let me know.
Thanks,
Vrch |

Every user in mainframe system will have one user id.
User id through which that job is submitted will receive the status of the job.
Thanks

See 3 cases are there
1) If you have a Job in your Library, which can't be accessed by any one. Then no one can submit ur job.
2) If guest is having full access (Edit, View, Browse) to your Library, He/She can Edit/submit your Job. At the time of submission, his/her Login ID is the owner for that Job. So He/She'll get a notification.
3) If guest is having restricted access to your Lib (View, Browse), He/She can't make changes but can sub the job in view mode. After submission, as His/Her Login ID is the owner for submission, He/She'll get a notification regarding failure of the Job due to authorization problem.
Think It'll be clear now, as there doesn't remain any more case.
