I have a table say AZ in both Db2 and DATACOM. the scenario is till last month any updation /deletion in AZ was getting reflected in both DB2 and also DATACOM, but suddenly it was decided 2 weeks back, that the table in DATACOM need not be updated and so changes in table AZ was reflected only in DB2.
Now due to some technical issues, there is a need to use DATACOM to access AZ table, but DATACOM DB is not having the latest updates for table AZ. Is there any way by which data can be copied over from DB2 to DATACOM? |

Hello,
From the db2 data, create a qsam file that matches the Datacom format and load via DBUTLTY. |

Hello,
It has been a long time since i've seen Datacom training offered by CA.
If your organization is licensed to use Datacom, all of the manuals are available fo free from CA support.
The manuals have some good examples of various application code, macros, jcl, and utility statements.
If you have any specific/technical questions, please post them here and someone will probably have suggestions.
I'd suggest you become familiar with your dba(s). Hopefully, there are some Datacom experienced people on the project. |
