If you have list of datasets to search, do simple search with member name. |

If you want to find out where the member has actually been used (as opposed to where it might be used), you can find usage in the SMF data. If you talk with your storage admin or system support people they should be able to tell you how to retrieve the data for when the member(s) in question was acessed. |

What are the contents of this member? That could limit your searching. |

Hi All,
Thanks for your reply.
I am describing my whole problem.....
I need to search particular keywords in my all JCL/PROCS available in system, say I want to search 'HELLO' word.
I searched this keyword using 3.15 opting and using ISRSUPC utility. I found many members having the mentioned keyword.
Now, I need to search where are these members called/used.. If I am able to find out where are these members used then I am able to get which JOBs/PROCs are affected by the mentioned word. |

Hello,
I know of nothing automatic that will do what you want.
Now that you have a list of "many members", you will need to search again using each of the "found" members as the search argument. Depending on how many "hits" you found, this couild take a while.
This is why i mentioned using the SMF data to see where your "HELLO" member was used. SMF would give actual usage. If you need to find anywhere it might be used, you will need to do the search. |
