hi,
please explain what is meant by :
in Foreground mode of execution -terminal is locked when command is executed.
and
In Background mode of execution - terminal is free when command is executed. |

Backgroud is what is known as "batch" execution, mainly batch jobs. When you submit a batch job, the job is executing but your terminal is free to continue with other tasks.
In the other hand, foreground execution (sometimes called OnLine) locks your terminal while the process is running.
