How to use panels to store in a file

I am giving some data as input thru panel which is having(ex: the data i am giving as input is sfjdg&gfnhv--hjy) & along with other characters and i am storing it in a file but the characters after & are not getting stored...


any solution????

this is in clist as because the clist variables are defined with a prefix &

I know that this is not the answer to Your problem but ....
it is many years that CLISTS are less and less used

did You ever consider switching to REXX?
it does not have all the idiosyncrasies of CLIST language
and provides a richer set of constructs

ya i know i also worked in rexx and like rexx only but i am doing an enhancement in an already developed clist program so i cannot change it to rexx as we are running out of time...

Would &SYSNSUB help? This controls how may times symbolic substitution is performed.

The one I ment was &SYSSCAN, This controls how may times symbolic substitution is performed.
