Database Status: notopen and allocf

hi all,

In my IMS DC region,when i run the /start database appdbd command..
(where appdbd is my database name)..i am getting :
DATABASE TYPE TOTAL UNUSED TOTAL UNUSED ACC CONDITIONS
APPDBD DL/I UP NOTOPEN, ALLOCF

how do i get the status to : OPEN AND ALLOCS..??? please guide..

Hello,

Have you talked with your DBA(s)?

That wold be a good palce to start.

When you are a developper you shouldn't be allowed to stop and start databases unless you own them icon_idea.gif

hi,

I have been given unrestricted access to the database..and i have created the database too...but i am now getting the above mentioned error...and no DBA(s) to solve it... icon_sad.gif

Is your region up and running? What tells /DIS REG A.?

May be you should look here and scroll till the database part. Was there no DFS message? Is someone keeping the database?
