In one of the IDMS records, there is no filler left. if I have to add one more field. What can be done to increase the space in an already existing database entity? |

Hello Madhusmita Swain and welcome to the forums,
To add a new column to a table (with no remaining filler just makes it possibly more work) your first task will be to perform an impact analysis. You need to identify everywhere this table is used (both as a database and as an unloaded sequential file).
I'd suggest you talk with your DBAs for guidance on how structure changes are handled on your system. |
