While REPROing a tape file I'm getting this error? Can anybody help in this?

Please post the jcl for this step as well as any other diagnostic information from the jes sysout(s).

Hey..I got rid of the problem..The tape file didn't have the valid data to be loaded into the VSAM file..I used another volume and its working fine..Is my justification correct

The problem was an i/o error when that problem job was run.

says that the tape cold not be read. This could be due to a bad tape or a problem with the tape drive. You might want to have the tape and the drive checked, especially if there are other problems when that particular drive is used. You could also "dump" the header of the problem tape and verify what data is on the tape.
