Setting return codes in easytrieve

Hi,

I am writing a easytrieve program where i am setting the return codes to some values to 0,1,4 etc, but it is taking program completion code as 0 and returning only 0. Help me out with this.

In the General Fields section of System-Defined Fields, RETURN-CODE (amoung others such as SYSDATE, SYSDATE-LONG, SYSTIME & PARM-REGISTER) is explained:
RETURN-CODE is a four-byte binary field whose contents are returned to the operating system in register 15 when CA-Easytrieve/Plus terminates. RETURN-CODE is initialized to zero, but you can set it to any value.

I want to run the same job on monday and tuesday with two different parms, i am writing a easy trieve program where i am getting the day, and if the day is monday, i am moving the return code to 0 and if on tuesday i am moving to 1. Based upon the return codes the steps in my job would execute.

With RETURN-CODE, now you can set the return code as you wish.....
