How to solve Cobol abend solving using offset address

Hi this is my first query in the forum

1. How to resolve Cobol abends using Offset address from the jobs sysmsg. it will be good if some body give some explanation using snapshot or plain detailed text will do...

Generally the offset will relate to the displacement into the program, that displacement can be related to the COBOL statement by the compile listing and either the full assembler or compressed procidure division map......
