Hi All,

We are using C,C++ for z/OS in our project and we need to access DB2. Does anybody has any idea of how to do this. I am still a starter on this so need all the information available.

Thanks

C/C++ on the mainframe! Blasphemy the only 2 languages you should need are COBOL and Assembler.

Anyway, have you checked the DB2 manuals or the z/OS C++ manuals for this info?

Here is the manual reference if you couldn't find it.

Thanks a lot for the responses.

We are using thC/C++ because of some existing code we need to use. Coming to the manual thanks a lot for that, I did not have that manual. The manual refers to UDB and we are needing to use DB2 for z/OS do u imagine any conflicts because of the usage. I am pretty new to this whole thing so am really sorry if I am asking anything silly or obvious.

Thaks

I wouldn't know, as we haven't don't use C++ here. I found this link manual also
publibz.boulder.ibm.com/bookmgr_OS390/libraryserver/zosv1r8/

Scroll down and click on the c/c++ link. Then make sure it says "SELECT SHELF" in the drop down box at the top and do a search for DB2
