I have a file which has a no of reports in a sequential format. The start of the report can be identified with the String 'D21' which is the name of the report.
I want to download this report and want to ignore the other reports which are present in the same dataset.
The Dataset is so huge, that I cannot open it in the Edit mode.
Can you pls advise as to how can I select all the records in the file after the start of the D21 report ?
Regards,
Amit. |

Do you want to select only the records of the D21 report or all the records after D21 report? |

You can use VIEW and copy the lines you want into another dataset |

If you would provide the particulars about your file, RECFM, LRECL, location of the report ID (D21) and how to identify the end of the report (or the beginning of the next report) and post this in the DFSORT area I'm sure someone will be able to provide a solution. |

Hello,
If D21 will not always be the last report in the file, you need to post how to identify the end of the D21 report.
You might also mention what should happen if there is no D21 report in the file being processed. |
