Hi Guys,

1) I tried the TSO SHOWMVS command and got much information about the z/os, I would like to know what is the difference between online processors, configured processors, Dick, I beleive you could understand my query and answer

2) As i tried TSO SHOWMVS command it displayed around 95000 lines so is there anyway to store this output in some dataset as i tried with PRINT D but it didn't work there, so I appreciate if someone could answer my above two questions

Thanks a lot

try running showmvs in batch and that will give you the output required
(add SYSPROC and STEPLIB as required)

//TSO EXEC PGM=IKJEFT01
//SYSTSPRT DD SYSOUT=*
//SHOWMVS DD SYSOUT=*
//SYSTSIN DD *
SHOWMVS
/*

I have not used SHOWMVS for years but I assume that ONLINE PROCESSORS refers to the number of processors available to the partition/lpar/image (whatever you want to call it) and configured processors are the the number of processors physically installed on the machine/cec/box
