Dear Prabhu,

If you want to search for a string, Better go for file-aid option 3.6 or in tso option 3.15. Please try that and hope that will give yu the solution.

Regards

Hi,
You may also use ICETOOL or TSOSCAN jcl's.
At the moment, I don't have the code with me, will post it here in some days time.
Hope it helps.

Notonly4u, can you elaborate more on how to search a string in a PDS? I have used file-aid for searching string within a program, but not for a PDS.

In TSO you can use PDSMAN , by giving the option K.

please search this site with "PDSMAN" you can get the details using the PDSMAN and searching a string.

3.15 or 3.14 of TSO is best option.

PDSMAN EASYEDIT is very prowerful and userfriendly tool for searching and replacing any string in all members in a PDS.

To search... SCAN "string" is used.
To replace any string value to new string values inside all members in a PDS...

REPLACE TARGET="test"
NEW="new test"
