IMS Abend - U4088 returncode = 3EC

I'm running an IMS trasaction, it is abending with U4088 with the returncode = 3EC. Can you please suggest what can be the possible causes for the same. What should I do for resolving the same..

Internal checkpoint failure........depends on what you are doing. Start investigating here and if needed do some more searching. IMHO your DBA may give you the answer; should have been resolved though.
