Hi,

I need to "prep" a JCL and store the result in a dataset using REXX. How to do that. "JCL PREP" is the tool we use to validate the JCL.

Regards,
Jobin.

Usually When you do the JCL prep, it will give you an option to browse the output.

look at the dataset name, when its in the browse mode.
take a copy of that dataset name.

otherwise look for batch JCL prep options from ISPF primary menu..

let me know if you need more help

Thanks!

Whenever I prep a JCL the dataset "userid().jclprep.report" has the information I want.

I am also looking at the batch JCL prep options.
