I've a requirement in which a single file has to be split into 'N' number of files. The value 'N' has to be decided based on a field value in the input file. Is there any way to do this in a JCL without using user-written programs?
Couldn't find the answer..... can somebody help me.

Hello Ana and welcome to the forums,
When you have a question, you should start your own new topic rather than replying to a topic that is over 3 years old.
If you post an example of your input data and what you want as output(s), someone will be able to offer suggestions.
You should also include info as to how the files should be split. Will there be some value(s) that determine the split? Will the split be based on some count(s), Should the input be spread evenly over some number of output files?
Once you post your requirements, we will be able to help.
Which sort product does you system use?
Keep in mind that while your question is clearly understood by you, it may not be by those who read it.
