I have searched through the forum, but havent found anything that could help me, or i was unable to understand it.

My problem is as follows:
I have VB file in which a variable is defined as follows
XYZ-ACCT-NR-GRP 118 10 A
XYZ-UNIT-NR 118 04 N
XYZ-ACCT-BBB-NR 122 05 N
XYZ-ACCT-AAA 127 01 N

and i need to move each field to the Corresponding field in another file where the group is defined as:

XYZ-ACCT-NR-GRP 02 07 A
XYZ-UNIT-NR 02 03 P +
XYZ-ACCT-AAA 05 01 N +
XYZ-ACCT-BBB-NR 06 03 P

Thank you in advance.

filename:dataname = recordname:dataname
where the filename is the name of the file and the recordname is the name of the record that the identical datanames occur in.

hi, could you please elaborate on what you explained.
I actually did using a sort card:
OUTREC FIELDS=(1,4,
122,04,ZD,TO=PD,
126,05,ZD,TO=PD,
131,01)

Have you looked at the EZT manual?
