i have a basic doubt. if we have some subprograms being called from main-program, for example 2 sub programs called from a main-program and all these programs have DB2 componenets, does each of these programs have different packages of their own or all these programs comes under same package(same package for main as well as Sub)?

Not necessarily all these programs have to be under the same package.
there can be a separate package for each pgoram.
