Hi, i am trying to find a way to copy selected fields from a flat file into another flat file using IBM file manager. Currently i am doing it using FileAid, but my organisation has decided to part ways with fileaid. Has anyone used IBM file manager in this regard. Appreciate you help on this. |

Hello and welcome to the forums,
If you search a bit you may find some topics that do this with File Manager.
If you look in DFSORT, there are several examples of copying selected data using the sort and/or icetool. Does your system use DFSORT or Syncsort or ?
If you would like to pursue this using your sort product, please post back and your topic can be moved. |

Hello,
Yes, we don't have a lot of discussion about File Manager.
Does your system use DFSORT, Syncsort, or some other product?
Depending on which product you use, i'll relocate your topic. |

Use this link to display the Bookshelves for the different releases of FILE MANAGER. When you know the release that you are running at your shop, pick a shelf and I'd start with the USER's Guide. |
