I'm submitting a cobol compile job (containing CICS AND DB2) of nearly 1800 lines after precompiling it is showing "estimated lines exceeded".

This message has nothing to do with COBOL. It is JES message, saying you have not enough room in the spool for the job's output. Please consult your system professionals.

More info about this message can be found in the finr manual.

Its more of a nothing message, it the spool should just keep adding lines after it blows its initial estimate.
