every application programmers guide has an appendix which provides compile/link jcl.........................

Hello,

The best source of compile/link jcl is your system support people. There should be standard compile procedures that all developers use.

You should not create your own. When many people create custom compile and/or link jcl, it is horrible to support and maintain.
