Hi,

I have some interview questions. They are:

1. I have one original file as well as duplicate file. How can I remove the duplicate file. which is the best way to use COBOL or JCL. If JCL what is the DISP parameter.
2. KSDS file. I want to read first 1500 records. How?
3. 1000 records are committed. what happen to cursor. I want to read again. How?
4. 1000 records has been updated. How can I know the update has done?
5. What is copy link? edit link?

While we can answer those questions - we need to know your goals to be
able to "help you out".

Are you creating questions to find out whether prospective employees
are competent?

Are you trying to fool employers into thinking you are competent? (If
so, can you come up with a reason that we could morally agree to
assist you)? Or at least so that we can do so without hurting our
industry?

nice thread topic. will help others looking for similar answers.

you have web access, have you tried looking at manuals. all your questions are pretty basic.

in addition to manuals, there are tutorials on this site. here is a site called the vsam connection

Hello,

When posting questions from an interview, it is most advisable to post the questions you were actually asked. . .

I guarantee the questions posted are at best an interpretation of what was actually asked. If you do not understand the questions (not the answers, just what the interviewer asked), it will be difficult (if even possible) to perform the work.

I'd suggest more study.
