Hi ppl,

Have some doubt reg the DCLGEN variables using in Embedded SQL statements. In my System, one of the field in some XXX table has a declaration of char(4096).But the DCLGEN declaration for that field is having only char(4018).Now i gotto move 4096 length text to that field. Can i directly give any external variable(of length 4096) instead of that DCLGEN variable(of length 4018) for that particular field?

Thanks In advance.
Keep the gud work Goinon.

Thanks

It should not be a problem..but please check of why the DCLGEN variable size and the table filed sizes vary.

Thanks
