Hi,
I have a requirement where i have two input files FILE A and FILE B.
File A has:
A1
A2
A3
A4
File B has:
A1
A2
I want to match files A and B and write the matched records in one file and the non matched in other. I dont want to use IF MATCHED clause.
File B is a dynamic file, we can add more data into it (A3, A4...A11). It can have A1 - A11 in it.
Is it possible to find file B in file A using search in ezt?
Please reply!!
Thanks! |

Hello,
Search may do what you want - for very snmall volumes.

Why not? What business reason is there to not use the built-in match function?
If you don't want to use match, you could always do this in cobol. |
