Tablebase abend : DK100400E tableBASE User Error Abend 0061

Hi,

We're currently in the process of upgrading our tablebase from version 5 to version 6.0.2.In order to support the upgrade we converted them to the bridge format that is compatible with both version 5 and 6. Our jobs pickup the default tablebase loadlib from the linked list. But I experienced an unusual problem when the loadlib linked list was upgraded to version 6.One job abended with the message: DK100400E tableBASE User Error Abend 0061, Reason=0002/0002,Command=FK,GKTABLE6. what makes this difficult to debug is that all other jobs that uses the same table and same command ran successfully. I checked the parms passed for the read. they were good too. I'm sure the problem is not related to the tablebase conversion as all other jobs ran fine with the new version (otherwise it would abend with 0062). However when loadlib was converted back to version 5.0 this job ran fine. Not sure what it is.

Have you called Data Kenetics support?

I've not worked with them (yet?), but as you are in the process of upgrading, i would expect they would most responsive.

Thanks a lot for the guidance, Dick.

I did contact the Data Kinetics group and they told why the abend was happening. Apparantly the tablebase was assigned to two DDnames in the job. This was permitted in Version 5 but not in version6. So I'll have to figure out a way to assign a tablebase backup to the second DDname.
