Does anyone has rexx code to search a string in all the members of a PDS. If the string is found it should display as 'found' in the 'prompt' column.

I tried using that command but it is not working. it says invalid command. In the previous prj i worked we use that command only. But in the new prj i am allocated i couldnt use that. it says invalid command. should any setting changed to enable this tool. please let me know. |

This is not a tool, it is an ISPF System Command introduced in Z/os 1.7.
What version of Z/os you have?

HI,
in this prj they have different tool, called fstr. I will be using that. anyway how to find the version of z/OS. I know the version of ISPF and it is ISPF 5.2. how to activate that command. |

I found it. The Z/OS version is z/OS 01.04.00. As per your comment I think it wont work. |

You can get the same results using the panel driven interface of option 3.14
