Hi,
Skeleton JCL is just a template JCL also containing variables. While running REXX programs, user can pass the value of variables and these values are embedded into the JCL, there by creating dynamic JCLS.
Please correct me if am wrong

a027412 -

Skeletons' variables can filled from any ISPF dialog, it doesn't have to be REXX. I'm doing it from COBOL as well as from NATURAL.

Hi ofer71,
Can you please share how to pass values to skeleton JCLs from COBOL.
I will be glad if i receive a sample skeleton JCL and COBOL program.

ISPF services can be invoked from any supported language. This includes VPUT, the service that puts the variable in the pool.

The only difference from REXX/CLIST, is that when you code in a compiled language, you have to use the VDEFINE service in order to define the variable.

There are many examples in the fine manuals.
