comparing two vsam files

Hi,

I have a requirement where i need to get records which are in file A but not present in File B.

Both are VSAM Files.

Repro both of them using IDCAMS and then turn to the sortforum where Frank can help you icon_idea.gif

Hi,
I assume your files have some keys which are in common, then you can use DFSORT Splice operator to get those records which are present only in FILE A.
Pls refer to the "DFSORT/SYNCORT" forum. you will find many examples.
